Alarms & troubleshooting

COMM_FAIL / CAN_TIMEOUT
Alarm Red LED solid, screen shows 'COMMUNICATION FAIL'
CAN bus termination resistor missing, rectifier transceiver failed, or backplane ribbon loose
1. Verify ribbon cable connections between controller and subrack backplane;\n2. Measure termination resistance across CAN_H and CAN_L (nominal 60 ohms);\n3. Unplug rectifiers individually to isolate the unit clamping the bus lines;\n4. Reseat the controller module to re-initialize bus handshakes.
BATT_TEST_FAIL / SOH_DEGRADED
Screen indicates battery test failure, intermittent buzzer alert
Battery string voltage dropped prematurely during automated scheduled capacity discharge test
1. Review battery discharge test log and individual cell voltage recordings;\n2. Test individual cell internal impedance and terminal float voltages;\n3. Identify degraded cells for equalization charge or module replacement;\n4. Verify all inter-battery copper link bolts are torqued to manufacturer specs.
MAINS_OUT_OF_RANGE
Yellow mains alarm LED solid, event log records utility anomaly
Utility mains overvoltage, undervoltage, phase rotation reversal, or phase loss
1. Check real-time phase voltages and frequency in AC Parameters menu;\n2. Use a power quality analyzer to evaluate grid harmonics and unbalance;\n3. Adjust controller upper/lower alarm limits if appropriate for site grid profile;\n4. Contact utility company if severe persistent transformer faults are detected.
