Alarms & troubleshooting

040101 (FIBER_LOS / Baseband Optical Link Loss of Signal)
Board OPT LED flashing red; cell carrier operational state offline, wireless calls fail
Damaged CPRI optical patch cord between B8200 subrack and remote RRU, or SFP RX sensitivity depleted
1. Log into ZTE NetNumen EMS to query SFP optical TX/RX power metrics and BER counts; 2. Verify LC optical connector is clicked firmly into optical receptacle cage; 3. Inspect/clean fiber ferrule endface with microscope and swap with genuine 9.8G SFP transceiver.
040105 (DSP_CORE_HALT / Baseband DSP Processing Core Frozen)
RUN LED alternates rapidly between red and green; fails to respond to CC control board polling
Internal DSP cache parity error or firmware microcode deadlock under sudden high-capacity LTE throughput
1. Issue remote board soft reset command from EMS client; 2. If unresponsive, unlatch ejector lever on site, pull board out for 10s to dissipate residual capacitance, and reseat; 3. If post-boot diagnostics still report DSP halt, replace with spare BPL1 board and reload FPGA packages.
040108 (OPT_POWER_ATTENUATION / SFP Transceiver Laser Degradation)
Board OPT LED remains solid green, but EMS maintenance logs generate predictive health alerts
SFP+ internal laser diode aging under prolonged thermal stress, TX optical power degraded below threshold (<-6dBm)
1. Query SFP DOM telemetry via EMS: inspect temperature, bias current, and current TX power metrics; 2. Schedule optical transceiver replacement during upcoming network maintenance window to prevent outage; 3. Ensure optical lens endface is not contaminated by dust; clean with specialized optical pen before swap.
